Party in Plymouth Corner!!!

Posted in Plymouth Corner by Ashley on the March 10th, 2010

Planning a party in Plymouth Corner is always a fun time for the inhabitants of our tiny Lemax village.

As Mary walks down Plum Avenue she consults her check list and sees that she has many different stores to stop at along the way.  Her first stop is Rose’s Flower Emporium where she is almost knocked over by the sweet aroma of all the flowers crammed into such a charming and quant shop.  Mary purchases all her dazzling arrangements and has them sent over to the Bridgeport Inn where the annual spring fling is to take place.

Mary moves on to Anderson Family Grocery Store where she is able to convince little Billy Anderson to deliver the food to the kitchen immediately so the cooks could start preparing the hors d’oeuvres.  The succulent bacon wrapped shrimp and creamy artichoke dip is going to go fast so Mary makes sure to get extra.

“Don’t want to run out like we did last year” she thought to herself.

Last stop is Pearl’s Ice Cream Parlor where Mary picks out Rocky Road, Butter Pecan and Plain Vanilla to serve for dessert for those guests with a sweet tooth.  As Mary hops the bus at Plymouth’s Bus Depot, she checks the last thing off her list and an accomplished feeling settles over her as she thinks “This is going to be the party of the year!”

Come One!! Come All!! To the Carnival!!!

Posted in Carnival Collection by admin on the March 3rd, 2010

Invite the festive environment of the Carnival Collection into your home with these beautiful Lemax collector’s items.

“Come one, come all to the Carnival” the clown wails as he tumbles down the street.  As you enter the festive environment the excitement courses through your veins and makes an immediate smile appear on your face.  The ornate carousel horses that flock the gates bring adolescent-like glee to all who behold them.  Like a child in a candy store your eyes hungrily devour the many attractions, rides, games and vendors all bidding for your undivided attention.

What to do first? Ride all the rides your stomach can handle, eat all the food you can fit in your stomach or see an interesting show that will amaze and enthrall you.  You decide to ride before eating because who would ride after eating?

“That might get messy” you think to yourself.

As you ride The Zinger, The Crazy Cars, and The Belmont Carousel Ride you can not make up your mind on which one is your favorite.  You realize as you leave the rides portion of the park you do not need to make up your mind now.  After all the carnival is in town for the whole week!!!!

While munching on a corndog and sipping your lemonade you stroll through the arcade.  Stopping to pitch the softballs towards the target for the Dunkin Booth and peer at the giraffe, lion and bear in the traveling Animal Cages.  One last ride you think to yourself as your step on The Cha-Cha.  After the ride you dizzily exit the park vowing to return again tomorrow.

Favorite Lemax Building

Posted in Uncategorized by friends on the November 11th, 2009

I love Christmas, so I am at the right place! I grew up with the Dickinson village sets, a traditional tree, and lights. So I like the traditional look. That’s why I prefer the Lemax sets - especially the Plymouth one. Ships, lighthouses, and an Lemax admiral’s home - all these buildings remind me of Martha’s Vineyard. One of my favorite places in the country! I am also a fan of this Santa Wonderland Nutcracker Inn building. To bring home the real meaning of Christmas, you need a cathedral.

Accessorize Yourself

Posted in Lemax Christmas Villages, Lemax Vail Village by Mark on the September 24th, 2009

While strolling past my favorite Ye Olde Cheese & Wine Shoppe (the extra “e” is for “excitement!) in Caddington Village, it dawned on me just how many accessories are available to spruce up the ol’ miniature village.  Decorative snowfall and the occasional tree are pretty much standard nowadays, but why be bland like those thick-browed cretins in Vail Village?

Turn your Caddington Village into something amazing by using miniature wreaths to accent the beautiful cathedrals that dot your landscape.  Small sleds can be propped up against toy shops for added realism.  And what town would be complete without holiday topiaries?  I don’t trust any shrubbery unless it comes in reindeer form, but then again I’m a traditionalist.

So feel free to snoop around for all of your Lemax accessories and make your Caddington Village as bright and cheerful as mine is.

Lemax Land

Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Don Trump. What do these men have in common? Besides the fact that these men could single-handedly buy, sell, then buy and sell again, then turn Caddington Village’s streets into gondola veins? Hmm, I guess just a successful team of relaxing resort men who find Vail Village the place to talk. Sipping Singapore slings in our ski resorts, and fixing the bets on global economy, I must say, rubbing elbows with the world’s elite has been a pleasure.

Leave your North Face jackets and UGG Boots in Caddington Village.

A Touch Of Class

Posted in Lemax Christmas Villages, Lemax Vail Village by Mark on the September 17th, 2009

Class.

Thats what I’m all about.

I’m the type of guy who gets stopped on the streets by complete strangers and asked “Hey…Mark…why you so classy and fly?”

I simply respond with a fatherly chuckle, knowing I’ll never give away my Illuminati-inspired secrets.

Thats why I’m such a Caddington Village enthusiast.  While some Lemax collectors may be content with letting their miniature townsfolk peruse lighthouses and billiard halls, we Caddington Village-ites prefer something a tad more stimulating.  Colleges?  Check.  Museums?  Got them.  Chocolatier Store?  You bet your Reese’s Pieces.  Heck, we’ve got not one but TWO antique stores available to us.  Caddington Village is truly the one-stop-shopping location for your miniature villagers to pick up an 18th century mahogany rocking chair and a case of Zagnut bars.

Not only that, but we even have a Livery establishment!  I’m so classy I don’t even know what that is!  Judging from the building, it has something to do with either horses or apples.

Hopefully a tasty combination of the two.

Anywho, Caddington Village has expanded this year to include new buildings such as a theater and several Cathedrals. Use your inter-web computing machines to check them all out!

You certainly can’t find that type of class over in Vail Village

Makes me glad Caddington Village stands as a beacon of class.

Ray’s Record Shop

Posted in Lemax Vail Village by Ray on the September 14th, 2009

So, if I was .75 inches tall, I could buy, own and operate a porcelain record store for $24.99. Cool right?  I’d sell miniature people some of my favorite music known to man. I would be so helpful with statements like “Hey, guy. Lay off that Daughtry disc and blaze up this Otis Redding cruncher.” Or “Hey buddy, what gives? Lady Googoo is for chicks. Get up on this JBs barnburner, guy.”

If I owned a record shop there would be chronological sections…..

Section I - My First Tapes
This item would consist of Bobby Brown’s “My Perogative” and a boxset of various artists called “Songs I Taped off of Kiss 98.5 when I was 9 - 12.” Joey Lawrence was on this masterpiece. “More than words” by Extreme would also be available.

Section II - X - Crunchers

Section XI - CM - Jams.

Come to Ray’s Record Shop. Don’t be a buzzkill. You won’t find records like this in Caddington Village.

Lemax Begins To Rope Newcomer Ray In

Posted in Lemax Harvest Crossing, Lemax Vail Village by Ray on the April 10th, 2009

There is a secret I must trust with my closest blog associates, ie. the world.

I have a small thought inside my head that is growing a burgeoning interest in Lemax villages. I can’t help it. Harvest Crossing is slightly adorable, even to the late twenties, contemporary male like, say, myself.

Vail Village, another Lemax village even named a record store after me (Ray’s Records), but since I do not happen to be 2 Milimeters small, the dream must be that…just a dream.

In all seriousness, Lemax has caught my attention. In my younger days, I might have scoffed at the positioning of miniature buildings as a goofy prospect, but like all hobbies, relaxation and dedication are pinnacle.

I can surely imagine Lemax to have a slightly Americana Feng Shui feel in my home fairly soon.
