WHOOOPIE…we have TONS of lights coming into our warehouse tomorrow. There is nothing I love more than going out to the warehouse to lift heavy boxes and climb ladders…nothing I love more…seriously.
The lights should be interesting, not really sure what is coming in but I believe there is a lot of LED lights which are very popular these days. I actually light my living room with LED lights that I bought here at Christmas Central. I purchased a few sets of warm clear LED M5 lights on white wire and strung them back and forth on my living room ceiling….its very Olive Garden esque. And yes I do leave the lights up all year round…just because they are called Christmas lights doesn’t mean that is all you have to use them for. The lights really create a magical, warm and cozy atmosphere in my living room. Since they are LED lights they use very little energy and last a long time so I can use them everyday and not have to replace the bulbs every time I turn around. I even attached a few Chinese lanterns to the lights which works great with LED lights because the bulbs stay cool to the touch, unlike your standard Christmas lights where the bulbs heat up after a few minutes and attaching a Chinese lantern would probably result in a fire pretty quickly.
That being said…be sure to stop by our website in a few weeks and check out all the new lights we have in-stock.

Man, look at this place…you take a few weeks off from blogging and everything goes haywire. We’ll get the circa-1920 hobos with their bindle sticks out of here soon enough. In the meantime however, you all would not believe some of the projects we’ve been up to here at CC.
One of the oddest, yet strangely intriguing items we’ve gotten over the last month or so had to have been the upside-down silver Christmas tree we added to our collection. Myself, along with man-about-town Raymond, assembled the tree in fairly short order. We’ve always had some pretty groovy upside-down trees, which are apparently all the rage in Paris…or so my European contacts have informed me. But this one is a bit different in that in already comes with a LOT of ornaments and you can channel your inner-McGuyver by putting the thing together in any way you like. We decided to hang ours from the ceiling here in the office and it definitely got a lot of people talking.

Check all of our novelty trees out and be trendy for 2009!

It has certainly been a while since we have written any blogs, because we were fancying up our website a little, or so I hear. That being said, we have been kept pretty busy here at Christmas Central, what with all of our new Christmas 2009 merchandise arriving week after week. We received our new Lemax, new Fontanini, new Carlton 2009 ornaments and of course what would Christmas be without glass ball ornaments. We certainly had fun with those. We have a variety of new and different colors this year and a range of different sizes from tiny 1.25” balls to huge 7” balls.
Over the next few weeks we have to look forward to more glass ball ornaments, Christmas Trees, a range of different Christmas lights, from mini lights, to icicle lights and LED lights, and more Christmas trees, and more lights after that. So needless to say we are going to be busy for a while, sorting and organizing everything in time for Christmas. But we do have Team Awesome to keep everything under control!! So there’s no need to panic folks!!

So I have moved on to the World of Hockey Merchandise!! And if you are a hockey fan, www.christmascentral.com is the place where you want to go for the best stuff!!! Keep your eyes peeled because within the next few weeks I should have most of the Hockey stuff from our friends at Scottish Christmas listed!!
Now having said that, I do find it unfortunate that Hockey really hasn’t caught on in most parts of our country. It really is an exciting sport to watch!! I find myself already looking forward to Hockey season this year! Because it looks like my Buffalo Bills may be in for another rough season, that is if the preseason is any indication of things to come. But who knows, maybe those Bills will surprise us all!!!
So this blog is just a reminder, to make sure you check out all of our Sports merchandise!! We have a lot of great stuff! These are GREAT gifts to give to that sports fan in your life who is sometimes difficult to buy for. So Happy Sports Shopping!! (and Go Bills!!)

Mark once told me “Unloading ocean containers in scalding heat, to me, is like the very crescendo of The Three Tenors, converging on tonal zeniths. Absolute rapturous bliss” I said, more or less, that I wasn’t so into it. But, he would not cave. He found our new glass ball ornaments to be so life affirming, that they (inanimate as they are) were Mark’s vote for Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” and the first to simultaneously win “Playmate of the year,” and “Best Actress.”
He said “glass ball ornaments could win rookie of the year…twice.” Well, he is right. We got a lot of glass balls. Check them out as a part of the fall sweeps. Resurrecting the music industry, personally talking shop with Kim Jong-Il with Bill Clinton, and magnanimously crafting a Sham-Wow out of yarn and kindling…Mark thinks glass balls do it all.
And you should as well.
